Hello everyone,

How are you all going? I am very excited atm because i have finalised some forms for my year-long exchange in Finland (which i have a blog for btw: Rhianna's Finnish Adventures ) As of the 14th of October i only have 3 months until i leave. CRAZY!

Today is just going to be chatty and a lifestyle kinda post because i am really running out of ideas and am having to rely on Google for more ideas :((

At the moment, i have the realisation that people are being competitive for no reason. I won't be stating specifics on here because of privacy but i just want to let everyone know; that jealousy and being competitive in relationships, whether it be friends or more than friends, is not needed and it can be toxic. Being competitive brings yours and the other persons, self-esteem down and i would love to live in a world where self-esteem levels are at an ultimate high. These quotes are ones i think and will continue to live by. Life is not a competition. We are not born to think we are not good enough. I think our world has changed that view and i only wish it was different.

Also, I'm  not saying that being competitive in sports or academics or whatever, is bad, i think its just bad in relationships and in general! And this is not aimed at anyone, so sorry if the shoe fits :)

Hello Everyone, 

Yet again, long time no see! Due to a busy schedule. While i sit here on my laptop I'm trying to wrack my brain thinking of a post to write and i thought of how bored i have been lately because it is school holidays and i have to stay at home to baby sit :((

That is the reason i wrote this blog post because maybe you guys, my sweet readers, are suffering the same problem! 

So here are 10 things to do at home if you're bored!

1. Start a blog and note down some blog post ideas! Even if you have a blog keep posting! Much to the opposite of me. If you don't know how to start your blog first off you just need to think of a blog name idea, your blogs layout, the audience you're targeting and what you will write about. If you would like me to expand on how to start a blog, comment down below and i might make a blog post about it :))

2. Start a youtube channel and if you already have one, film more videos! Just trust yourself, pick up the camera and have fun! Follow what you're passionate about and if you don't have a camera you can use a phone.

3. Bake some delicious foods! Google or search up a video on YouTube, some of your favourite recipes or some easy ones to make. Best of all, you get to eat it afterwards!

4. Search up a DIY to do like some craft or even something handy like a peg holder for polaroid pictures. It is fun and some DIY's on the massive realm of the internet are simple yet effective.

5. Read a book or two! You will benefit reading them by switching off your mind from technology and switching on your brain for intelligence and vocabulary! Maybe you can even re-read some of your fav series!

6. Binge watch you're fav tv shows or even some new ones, contrary to reading a book!

7. Indulge and watch some of your favourite movies on netflix along with a  few decadent snacks.

8. There is nothing better than having a good old nap!

9. Call your friends and have a chat to them or invite them over. It always turns a boring day into an exciting one.

10. Go exploring! Take a hike in the closest woods, chuck on a bikini and go to the closest beach or take a hike among the mountains. The options are endless! What are your favourite things to do when you're bored? Comment down below :) Rhi S xx

The ideal thing for my little corner of the internet and my little corner of followers and blog post readers (this is not meant to sound weird) is to show a little bit about myself to you. To do this, i thought i should write to you about something i like doing or that i love or a hobby etc. But that's just too generic. So today's post is about my top 5 inspirational quotes and why i love them. You never know, it might inspire you and you might print these pictures out and stick them on your wall :)

The 1st of January 2016 saw an end to another year of memories, both happy and sad, and moments full of laughter and tears. 2015 was a year full of opportunities for me, some of which i took advantage of. For example the beginning of this blog. The beginning of this blog saw an amateur writer, write about her feelings under the name of Miss Anonymouse, because she was too scared to come out of her shell and reveal the truth of the writer of the blog posts. That writer was me, who now goes by the name of Rhi S and changed the name of the blog from Miss Anonymouse to Pretty Printings. I updated my layouts many times until the current one came forth which i am extremely happy with. 2015 was a whirlwind of emotions and memories and i can't wait to see what will happen in 2016!



January 2015 i can only imagine was a new start to a new year. I don't really remember january much because i have no photos to document it but i can think of the excitement i felt when thinking about what the year could hold. I would finally be eligible for a job and i was starting my year 9 electives.

Just yesterday I decided to start up my YouTube channel and actually upload videos. It was a big decision to make and I did throw myself in the deep end, however, I am glad I made that decision. So far I have loved making and editing videos and I have discovered it is one of my passions. I hope you enjoy my YouTube videos as much as I enjoy making them. Hey everyone,

Before i begin with this post, this post and the next one will not be christmas related. So sorry to bring down your X-Mas cheer but i had to do them!

As the title says, i just wanted to let you guys know that i got a new puppy! He is a 9 week old male Bordoodle (which is a Border Collie cross mini Poodle) and he is absolutely adorable! We are currently training him in not to bite the furniture or nip us and to do his business outside. He runs up to the grass to do his poo but he does wee whenever he has to, where ever that may be, which can be very annoying. He is very energetic but is also calm and loving when you want him to be. We all love him very much and can't wait for the years with him ahead. 

P.S we are getting him a X-mas present and getting a X-Mas stocking for him. As every puppy should.

Underneath the picture of him, is his doggie bed, teddy, leash, collar and food bowl. The print of it all is a tad girlie but that is only because we originally thought we were getting a female dog. It turned out he was the most calm of the litter and we fell instantly in love. At least theres blue in there right?!

2. I didn't start the christmas blog posts :(

Today i am starting the christmas blog posts and as Joe Sugg would say: "I'm not a daily vlogger". In my case I'm not a daily vlogmas/christmas blogposter. Sorry if they were your expectations. Anywho, to start off December blog posts there are a few photos of christmas decorations in my room, our christmas tree, my advent calendar and my nails!

How cute are the above 2 pictures!! I got the ornament, black mini tree and lights all for $20 at a shop called Typo. Holy cuteness.

This is my advent calendar. Not the cutest of things and i am hoping to get a cadbury one so i can have 2 this year. As you can see 4 are missing and only 20 left :O!

I am super excited for christmas this year and with my new job i am buying my whole family presents. They will love me forever. Looking forward to blogging for the rest of December and although it may not be daily, i hope you guys like it :).

P.S I am getting a puppy tomorrow! It is a Bordoodle (Border Collie cross Mini Poodle) and she has brown fur and blue/green eyes. Her name will be Luca. Cant wait to meet her!

For me it is getting to that time of year again where i have 8 assignments at once and a maths test. Crazy right?! Its like the teachers plan to bombard us with all the assignments at once just to stress us out.




In this blog post i will be giving a few tips on how i study and how i stay calm through all of this stress.

Tips for studying
1. Keep highlighters handy and colour code your study notes. For example Pink for things you don't know, yellow for things you sorta know and unhighlighted for what you do know. This is so you know what to study more of.
2. Be in a quite place where you can study and focus. This means no music or YouTube videos unless you are one of those people that have to listen to music to study.
3. Have all resources you need to study. Whether it be a textbook, workbook or websites. Keep them resources topped up!

Tips for Assignments
1. Stay focused. Either do this by going outside, locking yourself indoors, listening to music or sitting in complete silence. Do whatever suits you. 
2. Keep all resources handy. AKA internet access, printer, stationary, paper etc.
3. Section off the time you do your assignment and when you have free time. For example do 20 minutes of your assignment then have a 15 minute break

Calm and Collected
In the way of staying calm, i give myself enough time to study and complete the assignment so i don't have to stress about handing it in the next day and still not finishing, or the possibility that the printer breaks! I personally like to light a few candles in my room (my favourite smelling ones) which makes me feel calm and i also like to youtube calm, yoga music or the sound of rain (okay its probably just me and I'm weird). Other than that think about all the times you have been calm and the surrounding you were in. Once you know make that surrounding happen!

I hope you liked those quick tips on studying and assignments. The top half of this blog post was written before the school holidays and i only just completed it (it is now school holidays). I am so deeply sorry that it has been months since my last blog post but school and family businesses make it extremely hard to keep up scheduled blog posts. Although, now its school holidays expect a few more blog posts :D!
